Background:

With these stamps, the Postal Service celebrates the enduring legacy of western wear. The Western Wear stamp booklet features four designs illustrating iconic western wear staples – a cowboy hat, cowboy boot with a spur, a western shirt, and a belt buckle featuring a longhorn head. Each image is framed by elements common to the American West, including cacti, snakes, roses and stars. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps with original art by Ryan Feerer. The Postal Service is excited to have Mr. Feerer attend this event and share thoughts about the creative process and inspiration behind the Western Wear Forever Stamps.

Western Wear stamps will be on sale onsite from February 18-20. The first 1,000 customers will receive a stamp lapel pin with their purchase.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
