USPS Postal Customer Council Hosts Lunch & Learn

Basics of Every Door Direct Mail and Informed Delivery

The Austin-San Antonio Postal Customer Council (ASAPCC) invites all business partners to attend a Lunch & Learn featuring the basics of two popular USPS products – Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) and Informed Delivery. The meeting fee is $20 for non-members and guests, and includes lunch. Guests are asked to RSVP to Rebecca Chacon at Rebecca.Chacon@usps.gov.

Background:

A Postal Customer Council (PCC) is an organization that helps foster a close working relationship between USPS and commercial mailers and business partners with the goal of sharing information about postal products, programs, and services through an educational and collaborative environment. PCCs provide the opportunity for business mailers to network and collaborate with their colleagues in a casual setting.

This month, the ASAPCC is offering an overview of two services designed to bring value to busy business customers - Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) and Informed Delivery. With EDDM, customers can get their message out to potential customers in nearby neighborhoods, and they don’t even need to know names or street addresses. They simply identify the delivery routes they want to reach, prepare the mailpieces, drop them off with us, and we’ll deliver the printed pieces to the active addresses in the designated area. Informed Delivery is a free service that shows users preview images of incoming mail, as well as status updates about incoming/outbound packages. Users will get notifications in a morning Daily Digest email, or at any time via the dashboard from their phone, computer, or USPS Mobile® app, with other features that make tracking and receiving packages easier and more convenient.
