PLAINVIEW, TX — Georgia Hall has been selected as the Postmaster of Plainview, TX.
Hall began her Postal career as a Rural Carrier Associate in Weatherford, OK, in 2003. In 2016, she became a Supervisor, Customer Services, in Rocksprings, WY. Her first Postmaster assignment was in Perryton, TX, in 2018. Now, she is excited to serve the community of Plainview as its 23rd Postmaster.
As Postmaster, Hall oversees postal operations in Plainview, with six rural routes, fifteen city routes, four highway contract routes and 42 employees, as well as at the Kress post office with one additional employee.
Hall looks forward to leading her new postal team to achieve the goals of Delivering for America, the Postal Service’s 10-year plan for achieving financial sustainability and service excellence. The plan, published in 2021, established a path to building a Postal Service that is financially strong and consistently delivers on-time across Texas and the nation. In the short time since its launch, the Postal Service has made great progress on its four key pillars: Investing in its people, modernizing its network, providing service excellence, and creating financial sustainability.
Hall has two children – a son, Shelby, and a daughter, Cherie. She has an ambitious bucket list to fulfill. She wants to golf in every state, having achieved 26. She also wants to watch every major league baseball team play in their home fields; she has checked off nine, so far.
Hall is guided by a quote from Andy Stanley - “Leaders who don’t listen will eventually be surrounded by people who have nothing to say.” Of her new role, she says, “it is a great honor to serve the Plainview community. I am excited to join the community and committed to providing dependable mail delivery and excellent customer service to all of our valued postal customers.”
