AUSTIN, TX – The United States Postal Service is seeking committed and motivated individuals to join us in our mission of service in the Austin community. We currently have immediate hiring opportunities and will be at the Workforce Solutions Job Fair to share information with potential USPS team members about positions that may be perfect for them.

With starting salaries of $19.33 - $31.28 per hour, positions include City Carrier Assistant (CCA), Rural Carrier Associate (RCA), Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC), Automotive Technician (AT) and Lead Automotive Technician (LAT).
Automotive Technician (AT) – An AT performs both routine and complex repairs and maintenance on all types of motor vehicles in the postal fleet. An AT will troubleshoot and diagnose more complex vehicle malfunctions and may provide assistance to lower-level employees. Starting salary: $27.98 per hour.
Lead Automotive Technician (LAT) – A LAT will serve as a leader for lower-level technicians and mechanics in a vehicle maintenance facility. A LAT will also personally perform the most complex repairs and maintenance on all types of motor vehicles used in the postal fleet. Starting salary: $31.28 per hour.
City Carrier Assistant (CCA) – A CCA delivers mail and packages on a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidays. The position requires a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and experience with a passenger car or larger. The position may lead to career employment. Starting salary: $19.33 per hour.
Rural Carrier Assistant (RCA) - A RCA serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas. An RCA is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail, working when regular carriers have scheduled days off or vacation days. An RCA also sells stamps, supplies, and money orders. An applicant must have a valid state driver's license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. A personal vehicle may be required. Becoming an RCA could be the first step to becoming a full-time, regular rural carrier with full benefits. Starting salary: $20.38 per hour.
Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) – An ARC will deliver and collect packages along routes in rural areas and will provide a variety of services to customers along an assigned route. The successful applicant may be required to provide their own vehicle for transportation. As an ARC, you may opt to provide service to your community on weekends and holidays or up to seven days each week; whichever suits your lifestyle. If you enjoy working outdoors, while keeping your week free, this may be a great fit for you. Starting salary: $20.38 per hour.
