AUSTIN, TX – The United States Postal Service is actively hiring for full time, part time and seasonal employment in the Austin area. City Carrier Assistant (CCA) - In this role, a CCA delivers and collects mail on foot or by vehicle in a city area, and provides a critical service to the community by ensuring mail delivery during weekdays, weekends and holidays. This position offers an opportunity for career promotion. CCAs may be eligible for certain benefits including paid leave and health insurance. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy staying active outdoors with occasional customer service interactions. Starting salary: $19.33 per hour.

Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) - A RCA serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas. A RCA is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail, and may sell stamps, supplies, and money orders. The successful applicant must have a valid state driver's license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. Becoming a RCA could be the first step to becoming a full-time, regular rural carrier with full benefits. Starting salary: $20.38 per hour.

Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC)  An ARC delivers and collects packages in rural areas and provides a variety of services to customers along an assigned route. The successful applicant may be required to provide their own vehicle for transportation. An ARC may opt to provide service to the community on weekends and holidays or up to seven days each week; whichever suits their lifestyle. If you enjoy working outdoors, while keeping your week free, this may be a great fit for you. Starting salary: $20.38 per hour.

Holiday Clerk Assistant (HCA) – A HCA performs a variety of clerk duties that include sorting and processing mail and packages, as well as providing services to customers over the counter at postal branches. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, safe environment, this could be the right job for you. Starting salary: $20.48 per hour.

Lead Automotive Technician (LAT) – A LAT serves as a leader for technicians and mechanics in a vehicle maintenance facility. A LAT will also personally perform the most complex repairs and maintenance on all types of motor vehicles used in the postal fleet. Starting salary: $31.28 per hour.
