AUSTIN, TX   Following a 30-day period inviting community feedback and U.S. Postal Service review of all public feedback, the Postal Service has made a final decision to relocate retail services from the East Austin Station, 1914 E. 6th St., Austin, TX 78702 to a new tentative location at 3112 Manor Rd., Suites 3114-3116, Austin, TX 78723. If an agreement cannot be reached with its owner, the Postal Service will consider other sites within the area defined in the postcard sent to the community.

The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as were provided to our customers at the East Austin Station. Plans are to continue to offer services at the East Austin location until the new facility is open and operating as a Post Office.

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the East Austin community, the USPS properly considered community input, and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives.
