GEORGETOWN, TX - The United States Postal Service is seeking motivated individuals to fill immediate openings for the positions of Maintenance Mechanic, Electronic Technician and Rural Carrier Associate. To assist potential applicants, the Postal Service is participating in the Georgetown Community & Veterans Job Fair, at the address below, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Postal officials will be onsite to answer questions about employment opportunities and to assist with the application process.

Available Positions:
Electronic Technician (ET) – With a starting salary of $35.95 per hour, an ET will perform complex testing, diagnosis and maintenance of electronically operated equipment or systems. An ET will apply advanced technical knowledge to perform a full range of diagnostic, preventative maintenance, alignment and calibration and overhaul tasks on both hardware and software for a variety of mail processing, customer service and building equipment and systems.
Maintenance Mechanic (MM) – At $27.32 per hour, an MM will perform semi-skilled preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance tasks. These tasks are associated with the upkeep and operation of various types of mail processing equipment, building equipment, and powered industrial equipment. An MM will also perform maintenance and routine repairs such as plumbing, heating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning.
Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) - At $20.38 per hour, an RCA serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas and is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail. An RCA may also sell stamps, supplies, and money orders. Applicants must have a valid state driver's license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. This position could be the first step to becoming a full-time, regular rural carrier with full benefits.
