AUSTIN, TX – The Postal Service is focused on building a more stable and empowered workforce and is currently seeking new team members to fill immediate vacancies as Automotive Technicians, Labor Custodials, and Rural Carrier Associates. To assist potential applicants, USPS will be at the Red, White & You Job Fair on Thursday, November 6, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., at the location below. Postal officials will be onsite to answer questions, assist with the application process, and help future employees create an online profile to immediately start applying for USPS positions.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:
Automotive Technician (AT) – At $27.78 per hour, an AT will perform both routine and complex repairs and maintenance on all types of motor vehicles in the postal fleet. Job duties include diagnosing vehicles and performing operational checks on engines, major supporting systems, parts and components.

Laborer Custodial (LC) – At $22.37 hour, an LC will perform manual labor in connection with maintenance and cleaning of buildings and grounds of a postal facility. Job duties may include lawn care, moving furniture and equipment, and general laboring duties such as assembling furniture and fixtures, and loading/unloading supplies and equipment.

Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) – At $20.85 per hour, an RCA serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas and is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail. An RCA may also sell stamps, supplies, and money orders. Applicants must have a valid state driver's license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record.
