USPS Showcases Holiday Mail Sorting Operations in Dallas

What:

With the holiday shipping season underway, we invite members of the news media to view the United States Postal Service’s state-of-the-art package sorting machine in Dallas and hear how the USPS is ready to deliver for the holidays.

The event will feature a brief overview of the Package Induction Linear Sorter (PILS) one of 600+ machines installed nationwide under the Postal Service’s network transformation and modernization efforts.

Why:

Under the United States Postal Service’ network transformation and modernization efforts, we’ve made historical investments into facilities and processing capabilities, building industry-leading capacity into our processing, logistics, and delivery infrastructure.

These investments have resulted in a daily processing capacity of approximately 88 million packages – up from 60 million last holiday season and outperforming our competitors.
