Background:
In 2026, NALC Branch 421 celebrates the 34th anniversary of the Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive, the country’s largest single-day food drive that provides residents with an easy way to donate food to those in need in the community. Letter carriers will join forces with the United States Postal Service, the San Antonio Food Bank and others to help fight hunger in the San Antonio metro area and throughout Texas.
Participating in the Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive is easy. Residents can simply leave a bag or box containing non-perishable food items next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on Saturday, May 9. Your letter carrier will take care of the rest.
The donations made locally will be delivered to the San Antonio Food Bank and then distributed to those facing hunger right here in the San Antonio and surrounding areas. Post office branches will be collecting food items all across our state to be donated to local pantries in their communities.
Together, we can STAMP OUT HUNGER in San Antonio!
