SALT LAKE CITY, UT – The U.S. Postal Service will relocate retail and P.O. Box services currently located at 230 W. 200 S. Lbby, to its new Downtown Post Office facility located at 30 W. 900 S. Street. The relocation will take place on June 30, 2021, with the new location opening on July 1, 2021. The move became necessary due to a loss of lease at the Post Office’s current location.

The Postal Service anticipates providing the same trusted and reliable services at the new location as are currently provided to customers at the existing location. These services will include Retail, P.O. Box, Business Caller and General Delivery services.

“This new location will allow us to continue to provide our customers with the best possible service at a tremendous value, which is at the heart of the Postal Service’s mission,” said Salt Lake City, Postmaster Scott Canfield. “We appreciate our customers’ input and their patience as we work to make the transition into the new location as convenient and seamless as possible.”

On July 1, 2021, the U.S. Postal Service will be providing refreshments and snacks for those interested in visiting the new Salt Lake City Downtown Post Office location.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
