Postal Service Job Fair

Taking the Steps to Deliver Success

MERRIFIELD, VA — Are you looking for a new career? The Postal Service has many immediate, rewarding openings for individuals who enjoy working outside and meeting new people. Information about these opportunities will be available during our job fair on Thursday, July 11, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the following location:

Merrifield P&DC
8409 Lee Highway RM 108
Merrifield, VA 22081

Job fair attendees will be able to meet with postal officials who will provide firsthand descriptions of job openings and other information.

The Postal Service is looking to hire carriers to deliver mail in Merrifield and the surrounding area. Positions available include:

Position Starting Pay
Assistant Rural Carriers $17.78 an hour
Rural Carrier Associate $17.78 an hour
City Carrier Associate $17.29 an hour

Applicants must be able to pass a drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean 2-year driving history. Citizenship or permanent resident status is required. In the event of an on-site interview, applicants should also bring along a list of work history for the last five years. Males should bring their Selective Service Registration number and military veterans should bring their DD214s and veteran preference documents (if applicable).
