U.S. Postal Service to Relocate Greenbackville Post Office

GREENBACKVILLE, VA — The U.S. Postal Service has made a final decision to relocate the Greenbackville Post Office to a yet-to-be determined facility.

A public meeting was held on Nov. 12, 2019, to discuss the proposed relocation. Public opinions expressed in those discussions and comments received after the public meeting were carefully considered in making this decision.

The goal of the Postal Service is to reestablished retail operations for our customers in the Greenbackville community. Consideration will be given to sites that are convenient to customers and will meet all USPS operational needs.

The Postal Service will continue to offer services at the New Church Main Post Office, located at 4136 Lankford Hwy, New Church, VA 23415 until the new facility is open and operating as a Post Office. There will not be any changes to mail delivery.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
