DYKE, VA — The U.S. Postal Service has made a final decision to reestablish retail services of the Dyke Post Office to a yet-to-be-determined location within the 22935 Zip Code area.

A public Zoom meeting was held on Sept. 22, 2020, to discuss the proposed relocation. Public opinions expressed in those discussions and comments received after the public meeting were carefully considered in making this decision.

The goal of the Postal Service is to reestablished retail operations for our customers in the Dyke community. Consideration will be given to sites that are convenient to customers and will meet all USPS operational needs.

The Standardsville Post Office located at 47 Celt Road, Standardsville, VA 22973 will continue to provide retail service for the Dyke community until the new facility is up and running. There would be no impact on letter carrier delivery to Dyke residents and businesses.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations
