Post Office schedule in the Virgin Islands on Good Friday and Easter weekend

Post Office schedule in Virgin Islands on Good Friday and Easter weekend

Postal officials remind local residents that post offices across the Virgin Islands will be closed on Friday, April 10 in observance of Good Friday.

No window services in the postal retail lobbies or distribution of post office box mail will take place on Friday. There will be no collection or delivery of mail by carriers on Friday, with the exception of the premium service, Priority Mail Express, and a limited number of packages.

Regular postal services will resume on Saturday, April 11 at the island’s post offices for regular postal business hours.

The Postal Service’s website – usps.com – remains available throughout the weekend, including Good Friday and Easter Sunday, for services such as online ordering of stamps, information on postal products, filing an address change or package tracking using Informed Delivery.

A simple click in the top left corner of the Postal Service website switches the language of the website from English to Spanish or Chinese for most subject content.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
