Postal Holiday in US Virgin Islands on Good Friday

Postal holiday in US Virgin Islands on Good Friday

Postal officials remind local residents that post offices across the US Virgin Islands will be closed on Friday, April 2 in observance of Good Friday.

No window services in the postal retail lobbies or distribution of post office box mail will take place on Friday. There will be no collection or delivery of mail by carriers on Friday, with the exception of the premium service, Priority Mail Express.

Regular postal services will resume on Saturday, April 3, 2021.

The Postal Service’s website – usps.com – remains available throughout the weekend, including Good Friday and Easter Sunday, for services such as online ordering of stamps, information on postal products, filing an address change or package tracking using Informed Delivery.

A simple click in the top center of the Postal Service website switches the language of the website from English to Spanish or Chinese for most subject content.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
