Ione – P.O. Box hours at the Ione Post Office, 419 Main St., will be reduced effective immediately, due to increasing acts of mail theft and vandalism.

Monday through Friday, access to P.O. Boxes will be closed from 4:30 p.m. to 8 a.m.,
On Saturdays, the P.O. Box area will only be open from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
