River Flooding Impacts Mail Delivery

Mail delivery to areas of northwest Washington continues to be curtailed as a result of flooding over roads due to heavy rainfall in recent days.

Post offices in Hamilton and Marblemount in Skagit County were unable to open on Monday, Nov. 15.

U.S. Postal Service letter carriers will attempt mail delivery as long as roads are open and conditions are safe.

Curtailed mail will be held by the USPS until road conditions improve.

There have been no reports of injuries to USPS employees in the area as a result of the flooding.
