Ribbon Cutting Launches USPS Connect at Seattle Post Offices
What:
The U.S. Postal Service will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of USPS Connect, a new service that provides same-day and next-day delivery options for neighborhood businesses that need affordable solutions to reach their local customers.
USPS Connect debuts on May 16 at 19 Post Offices in the greater Seattle area.
“USPS Connect levels the playing field for small businesses,” said Acting Seattle Postmaster Karen Bacon. “It gives small businesses access to big-business pricing discounts.
“This initiative is a part of the Postal Service’s Delivering for America plan, and it couldn’t come at a better time, with prices for gas, food and just about everything else rising to record-high levels.
“Regardless of the size of your business, and whether you’re shipping out ten boxes or ten thousand mail pieces, we can find the right solution to meet your business needs,” Bacon said.

USPS Connect is the Postal Service’s new approach to meet shippers’ evolving package delivery needs. Taking care of those businesses ultimately benefits all of our customers.
It includes a set of four affordable delivery solutions that help businesses of all sizes meet growing consumer demand for fast delivery and convenient returns, including same-day delivery for USPS Connect packages that are dropped off at the back docks of designated Connect offices between 5 and 7 a.m., and next-day delivery for USPS Connect packages that are dropped off after 7 a.m. at those offices and no later than 30 minutes before their back docks close for the day.
Businesses should go to USPSconnect.com to register and find out more.
USPS Connect provides same-day or next-day delivery service to businesses that drop off their packages at specially designated post offices, including 86 offices in the greater San Diego area. Businesses will be able to save money and short-cut the shipping process by dropping off their USPS Connect packages directly to designated delivery offices.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
