Think Outside the Mailbox

USPS Immediately Hiring for Vashon-Maury Island

Think outside the mailbox

Vashon, WA — Are you tired of a typical drive to work? Then maybe you should consider a job with the Postal Service and one of the rare opportunities to commute by boat!

It’s no secret the Postal Service is hiring for thousands of jobs across Washington. But some of the opportunities available are more distinctive than others. And that includes jobs on Vashon-Maury Island where the daily duty station is accessed by boat.

Unique in its location, beauty and history, a job with the Vashon-Maury Island Post Office presents a great opportunity for anyone looking to do something a bit different in their career. And a job with the Postal Service affords the chance to make a positive impact on the community.

While other companies are reducing their workforce, the Postal Service is actively hiring. Our goal is to welcome up to 1,000 new employees over the next few months across the state of Washington. The need is especially urgent for mail handlers, clerks, and mail carriers.

Anyone who needs a new career path or is looking for a first-time job, please make plans to visit the upcoming job fair at the Vashon Library:
