Manages USPS Services for Edmonds/Perrinville Communities

Edmonds, WA — Jessica Comins has accomplished quite a lot since she began her Postal Service career as a rural carrier. And she is ready to start a new chapter as the Edmonds Postmaster.

Born and raised in Michigan, Comins joined the Postal Service seven years ago and has quickly risen through the ranks. For the last five years, she held management roles as a city carrier technician and worked in labor relations. Her most recent position was station manager in Seattle’s Lake City office.

As Postmaster, she oversees 35 delivery routes, 65 employees and says, “I am ridiculously excited. I feel like a little kid with a new shiny toy on Christmas.”

Comins knows that “Delivering for America” means not just providing good, reliable service to her customers but to also prepare the future managers on her staff.

“I hope to take an already good office and make it great. I also want to start focusing more on sharing my knowledge and training the next up and coming members of management.”

When asked about her path to Postmaster, she credits previous managers for “taking a risk” on her and providing guidance and their willingness to be available to answer questions even as she assumes her new role.

Comins is married with two children and is active in her kids’ school district. She is currently training a service dog and also loves to read and do arts and crafts in her spare time.
