Kari Wiegardt, Named Naselle Postmaster

Naselle, Washington’s newest postmaster, Kari Wiegardt joined the Postal Service in Tokeland, Washington as a postmaster relief position in 2014. Throughout her decade of service she has held a few different jobs such as a mail clerk in Post Office locations in Tokeland, Grayland, and South Bend, Washington, and an officer in charge in Naselle.

Three years ago the Postal Service implemented the “Delivering for America” (DFA) 10-year plan to achieve financial sustainability and service excellence. Wiegardt says she is doing her part by being “dedicated to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that everyone in our community receives their mail and packages reliably and on time”

“Since joining USPS in 2014, I have focused on maintaining trust and delivering excellent service every day.”

Wiegardt has seen may changes during her tenure with the Postal Service, “I’ve observed significant advancements in technology, enhancing efficiency and service. There also has been a stronger focus on package delivery and significant steps to meet the evolving needs of its customers. “

Wiegardt’s decision to work for USPS was an easy one, “I chose USPS for its commitment to reliable service and community support. It provides a stable career and the opportunity to positively impact people’s lives every day.”

Family support is key and Wiegardt appreciates the encouragement she gets from her husband and two daughters as she embarks on this new chapter in her postal career. Her mother and twin sister are also postal employees. Her mom works in the Menlo, Wash. office and her sister works in the Raymond, Wash. office.

In her spare time Wiegardt spends quality time with her family, likes photography, camping and trips to the beach. She is also involved in her daughters’ local sports and school events which she says helps “stay connected with our community.”

“I’m excited to be the Naselle postmaster and I feel truly honored to have this position. Serving my community in this role is a privilege, and I’m committed to ensuring that we provide the best possible service.”
