Amy Glover, Named Colville, Washington Postmaster

Manages USPS Services for Colville Community

Amy Glover, Colville Postmaster

Colville, Washington’s newest Postmaster, Amy Glover joined the Postal Service as a carrier in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2001 where she says, “I joined the Postal Service for stability and growth opportunities”.

During her tenure as a postal employee, Glover has served in many roles including as a clerk and carrier in Boise, Idaho, sales territory representative in Salt Lake City, Utah, and postmaster and training facilitator in Grand Coulee, Washington.

As Colville’s postmaster, Glover oversees 21 employees, approximately 8,000 mail deliveries, 200 Post Office Boxes (PO Boxes), and a retail unit.

Three years ago, the Postal Service implemented the Delivering for America (DFA) 10-year plan to achieve financial sustainability and service excellence. Glover is doing her part by creating a stable environment for new employees and customers, as well as helping customers with their mail needs and questions.

Glover says she believes we are making some progress with the Delivering for America plan. “Being a valued leader in both my office as well as my community allows me an opportunity to set an example for all of those around me. Leading with integrity and bringing my many years of experience into a struggling operation provides support and reassurance to my team and community. We are turning a corner to bring better service to our customers and creating a valuable work environment to my employees”.

Glover also states, “Being an integral part of my community is something that I take pride in”.

When not on duty, Glover enjoys spending time with her four children and roasting her own coffee. During the pandemic, she and her son taught themselves how to make jams and jellies. They now have 14 different flavors to share.
