Tacoma, WA – The Postal Service will host an in-person hiring fair to fill career vacancies for automotive and lead automotive technicians, tractor trailer operators, and carriers throughout the City of Tacoma; a specialist will be available to answer questions about the application process and help candidates build a profile to apply for positions.
Starting pay:
Automotive Technician – $31.58
Lead Automotive Technician – $35.18
Tractor Trailer Operator – $31.58
Part-Time Flexible City Carrier (PTF – City) - $25.92
Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) - $20.85
All positions paid bi-weekly

All automotive tech positions have a qualification exam, details of these requirements will be reviewed when applying onsite. At the time of appointment, applicants must have a valid driver’s license from the state in which they live. Applicants must also demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. Applicants selected under this qualification standard must successfully complete the required vehicle familiarization and safe operation training, including demonstration of the ability to safely drive a vehicle of the type used on the job.
