Sumner, WA – The Postal Service will host a hiring fair to fill career vacancies for automotive and lead automotive technicians, tractor trailer operators, and carriers locally. Hiring specialists will be available to answer questions about the application process and help candidates build a profile to apply for positions. Included in these opportunities are carrier positions which provide delivery services along designated routes in suburban and rural areas on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, indoors and outdoors to families across within their local community.

Automotive Technician - $32.01/hr.
Lead Automotive Technician - $35.66/hr.
Tractor Trailer Operator - $33.43/hr.
Motor Vehicle Operator - $29.90/hr.
City Carrier Assistant (CCA) - $21.21/hr.
Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) - $21.89/hr.
Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) - $21.89/hr.

*All positions paid bi-weekly

At the time of appointment, applicants must have a valid driver’s license from the state in which they live. Applicants must also demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. Applicants selected under this qualification standard must successfully complete the required vehicle familiarization and safe operation training, including demonstration of the ability to safely drive a vehicle of the type used on the job.

At the time of appointment, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• 18 years old at the time of appointment
• United States citizen, permanent resident, or citizen of American Samoa or other U.S. territory
• Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical assessment
• Bring your driver’s license, education history with addresses, employment history for past 7 years, and DD214 if you are a veteran
