Proposed Relocation of Arlington WA Main Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service will send out a postcard for the Arlington Main Post Office located at 524 N Olympic Ave, Arlington WA 98223-9998.

Background:

Due to space deficiencies within the building in Arlington WA, the Postal Service is now looking for a new potential relocation of retail service to a yet-to-be-determined location within the 98223-zip code location. The Postal Service will be considering the following options: a) leasing an existing building to move both retail and carriers to about 12,500 SF with 90+ parking, b) purchase land of about 105,000 SF to build a new Post Office or carrier annex or c) keep retail at the current location and lease an existing building that is about 11,850 SF for carriers with 76+ parking.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the current location until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.
