LA POINTE, WI — Due to the Madeline Island Ferry Line canceling all ferry service to La Pointe due to high winds in the forecast, there will be no mail delivery or retail service in La Pointe on Wednesday, November 27.

La Pointe mail and the retail clerk are transported to the island by the ferry service.  We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our customers and will resume normal operations once the ferry service is reinstated.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
