Postal Schedule for Martin Luther King Day Holiday

Limited Number of Post Offices Open for Retail Service, No Regular Mail Delivery

Martin Luther King Stamp

Wisconsin/Illinois — On Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, the U.S. Postal Service will observe the federal holiday marking the birthday of civil rights movement champion Martin Luther King Jr. There will be no mail delivery, however, a limited number of Lakeland District Post Offices will be open for full retail lobby service, including passport applications.

Customers are encouraged to drop their mail in blue street collection boxes, so they can be processed early the next day. “We want to advise anyone with stamped or metered mail ready for delivery to drop this mail into a blue collection box instead of waiting to do so the following day,” says District Manager Richard Morton. “We want to get a quick start on processing their mail.”

The following Post Offices will be open on Martin Luther King Day.
