Postal Schedule for Presidents Day Holiday

Limited Number of Post Offices Open for Retail Service, No Regular Mail Delivery

Illinois/Wisconsin — The Postal Service will observe Presidents Day on Monday, February 17, 2020, a federal holiday. There will be no mail delivery, however, a limited number of Lakeland District Post Offices will be open for full retail lobby service, including passport applications.

Customers are encouraged to drop their mail in blue street collection boxes, so they can be processed early the next day. “We want to advise anyone with stamped or metered mail ready for delivery to drop this mail into a blue collection box instead of waiting to do so the following day,” says District Manager Rick Moreton. “We want to get a quick start on processing their mail.”

The following Post Offices will be open on Presidents Day from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.:

Post Offices will reopen on Tuesday, February 18, with full mail delivery and retail service.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
