Notice of Proposed Relocation and Comment Period

What:

The U.S. Postal Service is mailing a postcard to the Monona WI Branch addresses, announcing a proposed relocation of the Post Office currently located at 112 Owen Rd., Monona, WI 53716-3553. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Background:

Due to the potential loss of lease, the Postal Service is now looking for a new retail location within one mile of the current location. The Postal Service is looking to lease about 1,270 Sq. Ft. with 15+ parking.   

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the current Post Office until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within the next 45 days: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Monona, WI, Branch Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
