Notice of Proposed Relocation and Comment Period

What:

The U.S. Postal Service is mailing a postcard to the Milwaukee WI- AMF addresses, announcing a proposed relocation of the Post Office currently located at 5500 S Howell Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53207-6127. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Background:

Due to the Mitchell International Airport redevelopment, a new facility is needed. The Postal Service proposes moving to a building of approximately 3,000 square feet within three miles of the existing location with 21+ parking.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the current Post Office until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within the next 45 days: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Milwaukee WI -AMF Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
