Sheboygan WI Post Office
What:
The U.S. Postal Service is mailing a postcard to the Sheboygan WI addresses, announcing a proposed relocation of the Post Office currently located at 522 n 9th Street, Sheboygan WI 53081-9998. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.
Who:
USPS Real Estate Specialist Greg Shelton
Background:
Due to a space deficiency of the current Post Office, the Postal Service is now considering relocating retail services within three miles of the current location. The Postal Service is looking for either (a) an existing building that is about 3,400 SF with 22+ parking and keep carriers in the current location or (b) an existing building that is about 21,100 SF with 161+ parking to add the carriers to the new location. To retain retail at its current location, Postal Service would need to relocate the carriers into an existing building that is about 7,400 SF with 47+ parking.
The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the current location until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.
We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within the next 45 days: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Sheboygan WI Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.

The United States Postal Service is an independent federal establishment, mandated to be self-financing and to serve every American community through the affordable, reliable and secure delivery of mail and packages to 169 million addresses six and often seven days a week. Overseen by a bipartisan Board of Governors, the Postal Service is implementing a 10-year transformation plan, Delivering for America, to modernize the postal network, restore long-term financial sustainability, dramatically improve service across all mail and shipping categories, and maintain the organization as one of America’s most valued and trusted brands.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
