Notice of Proposed Relocation and Comment Period

What:

The U.S. Postal Service is mailing a postcard to the Port Edwards WI addresses, announcing a proposed relocation of the Post Office located at 10685 N Bay Shore Dr., Sister Bay, WI 54234-9595. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Background:

Due to a potential loss of lease, the Postal Service is now looking for a new retail location within two miles of the current location. The Postal Service is looking for either (a) an existing building that is about 3,100 SF with 23+ parking or (b) a smaller building for retail only of 1,600 SF with 19+ parking.     

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the current PO until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within the next 45 days: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Sister Bay WI Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
