ROTHSCHILD, WI — The U.S. Postal Service hosted a press conference and facility tour at the new Rothschild Sorting and Delivery Center (S&DC), highlighting major investments that are modernizing operations, strengthening service, and supporting employees across Wisconsin.
The Rothschild S&DC is part of USPS’s nationwide 10-year, $40 billion investment strategy aimed at consolidating carriers into larger, more efficient facilities. These centers are designed to reduce costs, support the deployment of electric delivery vehicles, and provide upgraded amenities that enhance the workplace for employees.
“The Rothschild S&DC represents more than an upgrade—it’s a pledge to our employees and the American people,” said Acting Manager Post Office Operations Brendan Anderson. “We are investing in our people, our infrastructure, and the future of this organization so that USPS continues to serve every community for years to come.”
District Sales Manager Jacob Wenzel emphasized the business impact: “Our sales and customer engagement teams are driving growth and building stronger community ties. The Postal Service continues to power commerce and community connections here in Wisconsin.”
Wausau/Rothschild Postmaster Scott Mayer added: “This new center is more than a workplace—it’s a hub that allows us to better serve our customers and our community with greater reliability.”
The event concluded with a tour of the facility, where attendees learned more about the Postal Service’s modernization efforts and its commitment to innovation, safety, and community service.
