Postal Service Announces Re-opening of Ceredo Post Office

CHARLESTON, WV-The Appalachian District Leadership took great pleasure in announcing the re-opening of the Ceredo Post Office, located at 371 C Street, Ceredo, WV  25507. The facility had been damaged and required repair.  

The Ceredo Post Office retail hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Patrons were welcomed with refreshments, an opportunity to speak with the leadership and witness a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 13. The Postmaster, Richard Wiles, commented, “…being back in the main building is huge because we are [again] a 24 hour lobby. Now that we are back in the building the citizens of Ceredo have the comfort of retrieving their mail anytime they want and are not restricted to certain hours.”  Customers spoke highly of the staff and were pleased with the 24 hour capabilities naming safety and friendliness the two highest compliments for this facility.

The Ceredo Post Office offers sales of stamps, money orders, packaging supplies, and have PO Boxes available for rent. They will also carry Expedited packaging (free Priority Flat-Rate boxes and envelopes) for added convenience in mailing packages.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
