Proposed Relocation of the Sutton Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service is mailing a postcard to Sutton addresses, announcing a proposed relocation of the Sutton, WV, Post Office, currently located at 306 Riverview Dr., Sutton, WV, 26601-9998. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Background:

Due the growth in the area, the Sutton Post Office is too small for postal operations, therefore, the Postal Service is now looking for a new retail location within the 26601 ZIP Code. The desired size of the new facility is approximately 4500 to 7500 gross square feet.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the current Post Office until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within the next 45 days: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Sutton, WV, Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
