Ghent Post Office to Close Temporarily

USPS offers alternate location for mail pickup and retail operations

GHENT, WV – Due to an expiring lease, the Postal Service will suspend operations at the Ghent Post Office beginning Wednesday, Jan 24, 2024.

Ghent customers may access P.O. Box mail and obtain retail services at the Cool Ridge Post Office, located at 1902 Flat Top Rd, Cool Ridge, WV 25825. Hours of operation at the Cool Ridge Post Office are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday hours are 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Cool Ridge Post Office is 2.8 miles from the current Ghent Post Office location.

Street delivery to Ghent addresses will not be affected.

Currently, there is no information on a new location for the Ghent Post Office.
