Proposed Relocation of Camden, WV, Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service will mail a postcard to the impacted Camden community, announcing a proposed relocation of the Camden, WV, Main Post Office located at 4354 US HIGHWAY 33 W, Camden, WV 26338. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Background:

Due to landlord’s notice of nonrenewal of the lease of the former facility, the Postal Service is now looking for a new retail location within the 26338 ZIP Code area. The desired size of the new facility needs to be one of the following:
(a) an existing building, approximately 500 square feet, with dedicated parking or (b) a vacant land site to lease, approximately 8,500 square feet, in which the Postal Service can bring in a postal-owned modular building.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within the next 45 days from delivery of the postcard: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Camden, WV, Main Post Office Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
