Argentina’s post advises the government has extended social isolation until April 27. Measures previously announced continue to apply.
Argentina’s post advises that it will remain open and provide services during the government-imposed mandatory social isolation through April 12. However, due to cancellation of many international flights and diminished transportation capacity, it is unable to transport mail to an increasing number of countries. Additionally, as part of health and safety measures to limit spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), there will be no required signatures on delivery. Instead, the postal employee will ask the addressee for an ID and note the number in the signature field. These circumstances will affect quality of service for all categories of inbound and outbound mail and a situation of force majeure is invoked as the post is unable to guarantee delivery service standards in accordance with regulations.
