BVI Post advises that a curfew has been lifted but borders remain closed to passenger aircraft. The post can only receive mail arriving by cargo aircraft and surface transport. Furthermore, it cannot guarantee compliance with the quality of service and delivery standards for all classes of inbound and outbound mail until further notice.
British Virgin Islands’ post, BVI Post, advises that the government has suspended postal services throughout the mail supply chain during the country lockdown, effective from March 22 until further notice, in order to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). In addition, borders will be closed and no passenger aircrafts or ferries will be able to enter or leave the Virgin Islands. As a result, BVI Post is unable to meet stipulated delivery standards. It is therefore declaring a situation of force majeure.
