U.S. Postal Service statement on use of USPS trademarks

April 16, 2020

“The Postal Service provides a basic, fundamental, and essential public service to the American people as part of the nation’s critical infrastructure, and it is vital to the achievement of our mission that there is no appearance of political bias or partiality on the part of the Postal Service. As such, the Postal Service does not endorse the political activities of any group. In that regard, it is not appropriate for any group to use our trademarks in connection with their political activities to suggest or infer that the Postal Service supports their political viewpoints. Further, the Postal Service cannot and does not promote grassroots lobbying activity of any kind. The Postal Service takes misuse of our intellectual property seriously, and we will continue to take all appropriate actions as warranted to protect our intellectual property.”
