IMM Revision: Individual Country Listing for New Caledonia

Effective July 13, 2023, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for New Caledonia in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to add an observation to include certain addressee contact information on the customs form for items mailed to New Caledonia.

This revision is based on a formal request that the Office of Posts and Telecommunications (OPT-NC, the designated postal operator of New Caledonia) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 91, dated June 12, 2023.

[Add a new entry to read as follows:]

4. Display, if possible, the addressee’s landline telephone number or mobile phone number and email address on the customs declaration form of each item mailed to New Caledonia. This contact information assists the Office of Posts and Telecommunications in contacting and delivering items to the addressee.
