Effective in 2025, the Postal Service™ will revise Handbook EL-312, Employment and Placement, Chapter 1, “General,” to:
n Reflect current Postal Service employment and placement policy and procedures; and
n Enhance clarity and conciseness.
These standards will become effective immediately after the new edition of Handbook EL-312 posts, which is expected to be in 2025.
The Postal Service will incorporate these revisions into the next online update of Handbook EL-312, Employment and Placement, which is available on the Postal Service PolicyNet website:
n Go to blue.usps.gov.
n In the left-hand column, click Essential Links, and then click PolicyNet.
n Go to the right-hand side under “Published Forms and Directives.”
n Click Handbooks.
