Effective July 13, 2025, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), section 508.7.2.6, to include the new USPS® standard that the postage due on Premium Forwarding Service Residential® (PFS-Residential) rerouted Parcel Select® pieces is subject to the applicable USPS Ground Advantage® – Commercial price.
The Postal Service introduced the USPS Ground Advantage product on July 9, 2023. This change led to the Postal Service eliminating Parcel Select Ground®, causing Parcel Select to no longer have a single-piece price within the product. To rectify this, the Postal Service is updating USPS standards regarding postage due on Premium Forwarding Service Residential rerouted Parcel Select pieces.
Although this revision will not be published in the DMM until July 13, 2025, this standard is effective immediately.
