Effective March 19, 2026, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Iraq in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to reflect that the sender’s mobile phone number should be included on the customs declaration form or address label for all items sent to Iraq.
This revision is based on a formal request that Iraq Post and Savings Public Company (the designated postal operator of Iraq) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 16, dated February 23, 2026.
