Effective November 2, 2026, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), in various sections, to delete or revise text as applicable as a result of the Postal Service retiring the manifest mailing system (MMS) on April 1, 2026.

The Postal Service will also update Quick Service Guides (QSGs) 230 and 800 to reflect these revisions.

Although these revisions will not be published in the DMM until November 2, 2026, the standards are effective immediately.
