Effective October 1, 2026, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for the Syrian Arab Republic in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to reflect that the addressee’s mobile telephone number and email address should be included on the customs declaration form or address label.
This revision is based on a formal request that the Syrian Establishment of Post (the designated postal operator of the Syrian Arab Republic) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 119, dated August 17, 2026.
