6-2.3 Onboarding

6-2.3.1 Onboarding Process Overview

The following steps should be taken by mailers intending to onboard to Seamless Acceptance. A checklist of activities is available in Appendix D.

  1. Adopt Full-Service if not already participating and prepare eligible volume as Full-Service.
  2. Prepare all other mailpieces, including basic and nonautomation, as outlined in DMM 705.23.0, see http://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300.
  3. Meet all content and price eligibility standards for the price claimed.
  4. Work with your local BME/MBAP/MMS to begin onboarding to eInduction program when applicable.
  5. Communicate your intent to transition into Seamless to your Local BME, MBAP or MMS. Your local BME, MBAP or MMS will validate enrollment criteria is met.
  6. Submit completed Seamless Acceptance quality control worksheet to your MBAP/BME/MMS. The worksheet is in appendix.
  7. Document known undocumented (as necessary).
  8. Complete eInduction adoption when applicable.
  9. Submit request to your local BME, MBAP or MMS employee to migrate to Seamless acceptance.
  10. Local BME, MBAP or MMS will verify compliance with metrics and eligibility for migration.
  11. Local BME, MBAP or MMS will confirm enrollment, and set CRID(s) to Seamless Acceptance.
  12. Continue to monitor Seamless Acceptance compliance.
