Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
Luke Grossmann was named chief financial officer (CFO) and executive vice president in November 2024. He reports to the Postmaster General and chief executive officer.
In his role as CFO and executive vice president, Grossmann heads the organization’s Finance and Strategy, Treasury, Accounting, Pricing and Costing and Supply Management functions.
Before, Grossmann served as senior vice president, Finance and Strategy, where he led research, development and implementation of strategy, financial planning, demand forecasting and economic analysis. He also led the organization’s approach to financial analysis and decision making and was responsible for driving improvements in business performance.
Grossmann also served as vice president, Finance and Planning, in which he was responsible for leading the Postal Service’s revenue and expense budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, and program evaluation; director, Operations Research, Insight and Continuous Improvement, in which he was responsible for operations research, operations industrial engineering and continuous improvement efforts; manager, Package Platform; manager, Network Development and Support; and district manager, Albany, New York.
Grossmann earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and finance, and a minor in statistics from American University. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Sloan Fellow.
