John S. Morgan, Vice President, Delivery Operations

John S. Morgan was named vice president, Delivery Operations, in February 2025. He reports to the chief retail and delivery officer and executive vice president.

In this role, Morgan is responsible for setting Postal Service delivery strategy to ensure reliable, affordable and efficient delivery of mail and packages six and seven days a week. Morgan oversees the delivery operation that serves nearly 167 million addresses in the country and drives the transformation of city and rural delivery operations to best serve the American public.

In his role as district manager of the Arizona/New Mexico District, Morgan was responsible for one the largest retail and delivery operations with more than 5,600 routes, 678 facilities, 10,000 employees and an operation that generates $1.2 billion in revenue, servicing more than 9 million customers.

Morgan served as a combat veteran in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1991. He began his postal career as a city carrier and has served in several leadership positions, including district manager of the former Mid-America District; executive postmaster, St. Paul, Phoenix and Tucson; postmaster, Kansas City, Missouri; manager, Operations Programs Support; and manager, Customer Service Operations. He also represented the Retail and Delivery organization on the National Negotiations team for the National Association of Letter Carriers 2023 contract negotiations.

Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Phoenix. He is a graduate of the Executive and Advanced Leadership Programs and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
